This is the weather box I mentioned in an earlier blog. When the lady comes out it is dry and when the little man comes out it rains. It is usually true. I remember seeing a little weather box like this one in an old cottage which I used to visit daily when a child. Often people would hang up a fir cone and if it opened the weather would be dry and if it closed it would be wet.
