ST CHADS CHURCH, WINSFORD

The church of St Chad is steeped in history, a church has stood on the site since 1307 with the present building being the result of extensions in 1543 and 1925.

The Church is a grade II listed building and is surrounded by a conservation area.
Sadly the church was closed today, a sign of the times presumably because of the possibility of theft.

Old lamp post andback of old cottage which used to be the Bluebell Inn

Note the gargoyles at the side of the tower
According to a sign on the side of this property this was the Old Bluebell Inn
