AN ALISON UTTLEY SPRING SPECIAL

Those of you who have read my early blogs will be aware that I am a great Alison Uttley fan. Alison Uttley was the author of Little Grey Rabbit and Sam Pig but she also wrote many books of essays about life in the Derbyshire countryside in the early years of the 20th century. A Spring Show special is to be held on 5th May at Florence Nightingale Memorial Village Hall, Holloway nr Matlock at 7.30 p.m. Tickets are £5. Pete Castle, a local folk singer will be entertaining along with Joyce Varty who will presumably be reading some of Allison's essays. More information visit the Allison Uttley Society web page and also Pete Castle's site.
