CORN DOLLIES
The photographs of the corn dollies were taken at Siddington Church near Macclesfield. Every year the church is decorated with over 1000 corn dollies at Harvest time.
The corn dollies have been made over the years by Raymond Rush, often known as the Corn Dolly Man.
Raymond Rush has written a number of books about country lore and often gives talks, some of his topics include the following:
Country Customs
Superstitions
Fairs, Feasts and Festivals
Hatched - Matched and Despatched
Words and Sayings with a Story
Corn Dollies
Water Divining
Ley Lines
Country Sayings
