Never alone with Christ by my side
Never quite lost with Jesus as guide
Never despairing with Jesus as friend
Never quite broken with Jesus to mend
Never a failure with Jesus to bolster
Never unsure with Jesus the Master
Never forgotten with Christ to remember
Never cast out with Jesus as Saviour
Never bowed low with Christ to support
Never astray with Jesus the Keeper
Never submerged with Jesus as Helper
Never ill-tempered with Christ to control
Never unfilled with Christ as our whole
Never deserted with Jesus close by
Never in error with Christ as the way
Never weighed down by the cares of the world
Always supported by Jesus our Lord.
