If you have been following this blog since its beginning you will know that I have been interested in Alison Uttley's life and read her books for many years.Alison was born at Castle Top Farm in Cromford, Derbyshire, and wrote many books for children about Little Grey Rabbit, Hare and Squirrel. She also wrote many essays and books for grown ups. There is an Alison Uttley Society and if you take time to look at the website you will be able to find out more about her life. One of her best selling books was entitled Traveller in Time and is based on Manor Farm Dethick, pictures of which are on my blog.
