MORNING HYMN - IN HEAVENLY LOVE ABIDING

As mentioned in a recent blog we have had several deaths recently. Auntie Mary's funeral is this morning. She lived to be 102 years old. For many years she was the organist at The Hurst Methodist Church in Kingsley. She stayed active until her death and had been to a meeting on the Tuesday before she died. She died peacefully in her sleep. We will miss her as she knew such a lot and was always interested in everyone and could tell us all we needed to know.

In heavenly love abiding,
No change my heart shall fear;
And safe is such confiding;
For nothing changes here;
The storm may roar without me,
My heart may low be laid;
But God is round about me,
And can I be dismayed?

Wherever He may guide me,
No want shall turn me back;
My Shepherd is beside me,
And nothing can I lack;
His wisdom ever waketh,
His sight is never dim;
He knows the way He taketh,
And I will walk with Him.

Green pastures are before me,
Which yet I have not seen'
Bright skies will soon be o'er me,
Where the dark clouds have been.
My hope I cannot measure,
My path to life is free;
My Saviour has my treasure,
And He will walk with me.

VISIT TO CONWAY

Little White Rabbit and his friend are now refreshed and continue their journey to Conway.

Come on, a long way to go yet

Look we could have caught a train
What are they looking at?
"I spy a castle", says little white rabbit

"Look over there"
"That is Conway Castle"
"There is the harbour"
"What a large castle"
"Lots of boats, where are their owners?"
"I wish I was sailing away", these are words of a song

"This anchor is much bigger than we are"
"What's down there?"
"These are lobster pots" says little white rabbit
Someone is building a new boat

LWR CONTINUES HIS TOUR OF NORTH WALES

Did you guess where Little White Rabbit had taken his new friend? He went to North Wales, Llandudno. On Saturday he decided to take her to Conway - quite a long walk for rabbits.

All about the West Shore
These swans are on the miniature boating lake
"I think it's too cold to paddle today"

"Come on give me a kiss!"
Note the Gt Orme in the background
"I do like your ribbon" says LWR
That's a big bird, I think it is a cormorant

We have a long way to go yet
Looking back to the West Shore
Looking across to Conway
These are the first wallflowers we've seent this year

This rosemary is flowering - rosemary is for rememberance
Just look at those boats
"The red light is on, a train is coming"

"Time for a coffee or tea"
"Here we are at the Tea Station in Deganwy"

"What an unusual lamp"
Why not pay us a visit if you come this way

POEM - I THANK THEE GOD THAT I HAVE LIVED

Two dear Aunt's have died in the last two weeks. The following poem was read at one of their funerals.

I Thank Thee, God, that I have lived
In this great world and known its many joys;
The songs of birds, the strong sweet scent of hay
And cooling breezes in the secret dusk;
The flaming sunsets at close of day;
Hills, and the lonely, heather covered moors;
Music at night, and moonlight on the sea,
The beat of the waves upon the rocky shore
And wild white spray, flung high in ecstasy;
The faithful eyes of dogs and treasured books;
And all that makes life dear and beautiful.
Because of these and other blessings poured
Unasked upon my wondering head,
Because I know there is yet to come
An even richer and more glorious life,
And most of all, because Thine only Son
Once sacrificed life's loveliness for me -
I thank Thee, God that I have lived.
