WEEKEND IN DERBYSHIRE

We had a lovely weekend in Derbyshire, once again staying at the Manor Farm in Dethick, which is reputed to be haunted by the ghost of Sir Anthony Babington. On Saturday we visited an old market town called Wirksworth which had some interesting buildings and antique shops. On Saturday evening we enjoyed being entertained in the village hall in Holloway (village where Florence Nightingale lived). We went to an Alison Uttley evening and listened to some of her spring essays and listened to Pete Castle playing his guitar and singing some folk songs. Unfortunately I am unable to download a picture from my weekend at present as Photoshop is not allowing me to do so, hence LWR is seen below on his recent trip to Wetherby. This weekend he enjoyed a ride on a train, hopefully more pictures later.
