NEW YEAR WALK AROUND CHESTER

On Saturday my son and his wife came to see us, it had been a long while since we met as they had spent Christmas in New Zealand. We visited Chester and walked along the path by the River Dee and had a pleasant lunch at The Albion Public House which still retains its 1914 feel as it is full of 1910/1914 memorabilia and still had its crepe decorations up from Christmas which reminded me very much of Christmases past in the 40s and 50s. There was a good menu and we enjoyed our food. Afterwards we walked around the Roman Walls, a very pleasant January day. No sign of Little White Rabbit, he has been away with Daffodil for Christmas but hopefully he will be back soon.
