MORE SCENES FROM MALVERN
The pure water of the surrounding hillside springs was first made popular by a local doctor John Wall who analysed it in 1757, the water made the town a fashionable place to take the cure. It still retains much of the genteel atmosphere of a Victorian spa. It is still possible to drink the water at St Annes Well which is bottled for the Queen as well as customers throughout the world. It comes from the streams of the Malvern hills which rise to 1394 ft at Worcestershire Beacon.
