We have had a marvellous weekend in Derbyshire staying at Manor Farm in Dethick which lived up to expectations. It was a bit worrying on Friday when we were concerned about petrol as people continued to queue at garages because of possible strike by tanker drivers, fortunately, by Sunday people had calmed down and the threat of the strike has been postponed. Our worry now is whether or not we will manage to get to Cornwall for our walking holiday in May as, according to yesterday's papers lorry drivers along with tanker drivers are proposing massive action in the coming weeks to bring the country to a standstill.
