ST PETER AND ST PAUL PARISH CHURCH PICKERING

During our visit to Pickering we stepped inside St Peter & St Paul Parish Church and found this poppy installation entitled The Last Stand by artist Martin Waters. The church is famous for its wall paintings on the North wall of the Nave painted approx 1450.

LITTLE WHITE RABBIT VISITS CASTLE HOWARD

Castle Howard dates back to the 18th century, when it was built by Sir John Vanbrugh for Charles Howard, third Earl of Carlisle. It has a reputation as being one of England's most manificent houses, while remaining a family home and working estate. It was the setting for the both versions of the film Brideshead Revisited.

Does anyone recognise our spiritual guest? He arrived on the back of our motorhome after it rained in Knaresborough but one can recognise distinguishing silhouette, eyes nose and mouth and after one week and more rain he is still on the mtoorhome?

From Blackpool we made our way to sunny Lytham and had a tour of Lytham Hall which was open on the Sunday afternoon but, unfortunately, we were not allowed to take photographs inside.
